Update on 3rd new Monsterra Leaf

I’m amazed at how fast leaves grow on this Monsterra. This one will be open fully in a day or two.

You can see that there are fenestrations on the leaf. Here’s a photo of the entire plant.

I’ll update again in a few days to show the progress of the leaf.

Until next time!

Mater is getting huge!

I went out on the balcony to water Mater and it seems it’s grown overnight. It’s full of tomatoes now and they are getting bigger too.

Hopefully soon we’ll be able to start picking them.

Until next time!

Monsterra has 3rd New Leaf

This Monsterra is really growing. There’s a new leaf opening up and it’s the 3rd new leaf since I bought it. See previous posts about this wild plant of mine HERE.

Here is a photo of the new leaf.

Next is a photo showing the 3 leaves with fenestrations and the new leaf, which will have fenestrations. The tall middle leaf was the only one that had fenestrations on it. The ones on either side of it are the first and second new leaves.

Last is a photo of the whole plant. Yes, I love the beach and sea creatures.

Thanks for looking! Until next time, stay safe!

Dinner tonight from the Farmer’s Market

I saw online that one of the farmers were going to have fresh local corn at the market today, so I got up earlier than usual and hit the market not long after they opened. There were alot of vendors there, more than the first time I was there. I found the both with the corn and grabbed 4 medium size zucchinis too. Corn is shucked and cleaned and zucchini washed, ready for dinner tonight.

I’ll be cooking the corn in my pressure cooker, it makes THE best corn on the cob. 😉 The zucchini I’ll shred in my food processer and make into fritters. I can’t wait until dinner😋

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time!

Ladybugs and Daisies

I drew a ladybug and made it into a design with some daisies that I had previously drawn. You can see the line of products in this design HERE.

Crochet

My Other Hobby

I have another hobby besides creating digital art and blogging. I crochet afghans, dishcloths, totebags and other items. Currently I’m working on 2 projects, a basket for my granddog’s numerous toys and an afghan.

Here’s a photo of the afghan.

I’m about 3/4 done with the length of it. Then I’ll crochet a border around it.

I’ll update later on as I progress with it.

Monsterra Update

My Monsterra is growing nicely. The newest leaf had gotten big, almost as big as the previous leaf.

Here’s the newest leaf.

I’ve moved the Monsterra onto my chest of drawers so that I don’t have to move it everyday. It seems to be happy there. I’m watering it every 10 or 12 days and using very diluted fertilizer in the water, letting it run through and then I mist it and let it drain well before putting the pot inside the outer pot. I’ll probably need to re-pot it soon, as there are roots starting to come out of the bottom of the pot.

Blue Ridge Sunrise

I finished the digital painting that I had posted about HERE. There are some major changes to the original. I’ve added a waterfall and creek and lots more detailing. Click on the photo below to see it full sized.

I’ve named it Blue Ridge Sunrise. The Blue Ridge mountains really do look blue. I tried to do this in a more painterly style, using loss off different texture brushes. I like the end result, do you?
